Afterschool and Summer Learning Opportunities

Through school-community partnerships, we create afterschool opportunities for children and youth to achieve academically, socially, emotionally, vocationally, civically, and physically.

SCHOONER

serving children ages 6-12, operates after school when school is in session and all day during school vacations to meet the needs of working parents. The program provides homework assistance and opportunities for personal enrichment and physical activity.

Achieving Respect Together (A.R.T.) also known as the Hip-Hop Club

Bedford High School Hip Hop Club, an arts-based afterschool program that uses youth interest in hip-hop music and culture to build personal, social, artistic, and academic skills and increase school engagement and community involvement. Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

New Bedford High School Hip Hop Club

New Bedford High School Hip Hop Club

In this arts-based afterschool program, we use youth involvement in hip-hop music and culture to increase their personal, social, artistic, and academic skills. Club members get to showcase their struggles, aspirations, and original artistic works in public performances.

NorthStar Computer Lab

Acushnet Heights Youth Club

is a drop-in afterschool program that keeps children safe and supervised, while providing homework support, computer access, and enrichment activities.

Tying on Success (TOS) Program

is a mentoring program for violence-prone middle-school boys in which wearing a tie is a rite of passage into responsible manhood. The program focuses on improving self-esteem, social skills, and academic grades.
